Indigo Food Group

Indigo Food Group (IFG), a group of food manufacturing companies offering an extensive range of cooked meats, British and regionally sourced chicken and savoury pastry products including pies, pasties, sausage rolls, slices, quiches, and frittatas for customers in the retail and food service sectors.

Avanti has been supplying IFG as their hygiene and PPE partner since 2010, working closely with their Hygiene, Technical and QA teams in 3 sites across the UK (Bristol, Llantrisant and more recently Telford). In addition to ensuring hygiene and safety by offering quality products at competitive prices with a quick lead time (which is a given), there is an emphasis on responsiveness, innovation, flexibility and a ‘can do’ attitude which underpin the relationship. A true partnership where we add value to IFG’s operations – extending even as far as their Accounts Department where we designed with our IT team a bespoke custom import file to save their staff having to rekey invoice data each month. New innovations, products and systems are presented, and cost saving projects identified – one such project on Blue Roll saved the Bristol site 47% on their blue roll spend, by moving to a less wasteful system and improving cost-in-use.

Plant-Ex Ingredients

Avanti has worked closely with the Plant-Ex Team since 2011 as their key partner for hygiene and safety supplies. Such an exciting company to work with, starting as a small one-man business in 2010 and now with Sales Offices in Valencia and Krakov, Production Facilities and/or Distribution Hubs in US, Poland and Turkey as well as expanded premises in Bristol – it has been a pleasure to see their success over the last 14 years. Avanti is a true one-stop shop for Plant-Ex, supplying hygiene equipment, chemicals, paper disposables, gloves and disposable PPE, refuse sacks, hand hygiene and more into their Bristol warehouse along with the backup and support of a dedicated Account Manager who is always available for site visits. We have built a very honest and open working relationship with this customer over the many years we have been supplying and like to think that we are an integral part of their operations, and not merely a supplier of products. Orders are placed via online web portal to streamline their procurement and to give the customer better visibility of their order history and product consumption.

Plant-Ex Ingredients is an international company specialising in the manufacture of Natural Food Ingredient Solutions, supplying across the globe either directly through their own facilities or through a number of selected distribution partners. Their products include natural colours, top note flavours, natural extracts, and food protection systems.

Real Wrap Co

Bristol-based Real Wrap Co provides top-quality food-to-go, with innovation and taste at the forefront. They aim to be as ethical and sustainable a sandwich supplier as possible living up to their strapline of Planet First Food to Go.

This is a newer and growing relationship for Avanti, but one we are excited about as their company values align so well with our in terms of sustainability, social values and supporting local business. We were recently called on to supply a wide range of hygiene equipment ahead of an impending audit and were able to supply the complete range of cleaning equipment needed at very short notice. Avanti distributes the Hillbrush brand of cleaning equipment (including hygienic single-blade squeegees, resin-set brushes, buckets and hanging systems) – they are the UK’s leading manufacturer of brushes and hygienic cleaning tools who set the standard for quality and innovation. Hillbrush manufacturing is in Wiltshire, UK helping us keep our carbon footprint down – and being local to Real Wrap’s Bristol site means they are choosing to partner with a local supplier this reducing the carbon miles of delivery and environmental impact.
